Boy Scout Troop 370

Shepard Of The Hills church owns a camp known as Voyager Bay on Washburn Lake near Outing Minnesota. The church has owned this campground for many years. The camp has one central fire ring located near the beach. The ring was surrounded by stadium benches that have been degrading for some time. The benches consisted of a few tree logs laying on the hillside supported on notched stumps. I  replaced these benches with new, more comfortable ones made out of green treated planks. The benches are supported with posts which are sunk a minimum of three feet into the ground. I also terraced the land before installing the benches to ensure they last for as long as possible. The fire area now looks more organized and help to keep visitors comfortable while enjoying the campfire.
