2. Camping Update. A draft (final to be posted soon) of the 2009 calendar is now available on the website.
3. Friends of Scouting. Jaime circulated the Friends for Scouting pledge forms. Please consider a pledge this year as our goal is pretty aggressive.
4. Scoutmaster Report. Don Reported that the November campout was a success. It was very cold and Margie did a great job of cooking. November also included wreath and popcorn sales, a recruiting event and Eric Hamilton’s Eagle Project. There will be a skiing event on Dec. 21st and a Court of Honor on Dec. 15th. The troop will cover cooking tonight and covered gear last week. The Northern Tier crews will need to make some decisions regarding their trip soon. We have obtained a spot for Philmont for Aug. 1-13, 2010. Please contact John Phillipi if you have interest in being a part of this crew. More information will be provided. We are in the process of completing recharter. The troop is working to put together a High Adventure Trip to the BWCA for Presidents Weekend in February, 2009. Please contact Aaron Nicklay ASAP, if you are interested in attending this campout. Appalachian Trail High Adventure still has room for 1 or 2 more scouts.
5. Fundraiser. Dan Koster reported that the fundraiser was successful. We sold out all wreaths during the church sales. Please note that we have been contacted by the Council to report that several people in the area have not received their wreaths and/or popcorn. In order to be better able to identify our clients, we will implement a receipt system for next year. The scouts with the top sales are: Jesse Williams, Zach Knecht, Jonathan Vlasic, Advant Reddy and Mike Phillipi. All will be recognized at the Court of Honor.
6. Advancement. Blue card cutoff is tonight for Boards and Badges for next weeks Court of Honor.
7. Records. Kathy reported recharter forms are due today. You can email Kathy to confirm your recharter at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We will have several changes in officer positions over the next year. Jamie Dillon will be replaced by John Phillipi as Committee Chair and Greg Becker will be the new Quartermaster. Jeninne McGee with Michele Nash will be the new Recruiting Chair. Caroline Hermes will be the new scout record coordinator. We are also seeking a new secretary.
8. Recruiting. Lauren reported that the climbing event was a success with many Webelos in attendance. The service at Lifetime was questionable, so a new location will be sought for next year’s event. The Court of Honor is a recruiting event and a requirement for Webelos Order of Light. Scout decisions will not be made until Jan. 2009. We may due a small recruiting event on Martin Luther King Holiday.
9. Court of Honor. Ann reported that we will have a Court of Honor on December 15 and asked that people bring Holiday Treats. Additionally, we will be collecting for Toys for Tots at the event.
