There are forms to be completed for both adults and youth, additionally, forms are to be signed providing permission for extracurricular activities, media release and over the counter medication release.
Summer Meeting schedule was discussed. The options remained as was discussed at the last parent meeting. We confirmed that St. Andrew Lutheran Church could accommodate our meeting on Monday nights through the summer or as an alternative, we could meet at Pax Christi on Tuesday evenings. There was a motion to hold summer meetings at St. Andrew on Monday evenings. A hand vote was taken and the Monday evening option prevailed. So, summer meetings will take place on Monday evenings at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie, with the exception of the June 20th Court of Honor which will still be held at Pax Christi. First meeting at St. Andrew will be on Monday, June 6. This will be a Parent Meeting evening.
Pax Christi will be celebrating its’ 30th Anniversary on May 21st. No service requirement, but Scouts and their families are encouraged to attend.
The gear inventory has been rescheduled to May 28 from 9 am to 4 pm at Pax Christi. Please RSVP to Greg Becker or John Phillipi if you plan on participating. The day will entail inventorying the gear and determining if items need repair/replacement or should be abandoned. We will then review and revise the Quartermaster budget as appropriate.
3. Troup/Committee Organization Review. Don Richard who is leading this subcommittee provided 2 copies of the current organization chart which included the 8 committees and defined sub jobs. We would like to fill all 8 of the committee chair positions and then work to fill the other roles. The Records committee requires someone to fill the role of chair. If you are interested in this position, please contact Don. Additionally, Brenda Jerich would like to find a replacement for her position as secretary. So, if you are interested in helping with that position, please contact John Phillipi.
4. Scoutmaster’s Report. Tom Ryan presented the Scoutmaster report. He brought Dick’s Sporting Goods coupons back from the Roundtable. They were available at the parent meeting. Troop elections were last week. They occur each May and November. The scout’s attention to their uniforms has improved. They are getting better at remembering to wear the uniform, neckerchief and slide which is the required uniform for all Troop 370 functions.
