Camper Blog- Inventing Activity

E-mail Print

Throughout the week we have been doing an activity called inventing, with Mr. Hirl. It is also a Merit Badge, but we are using it for activities this week. Each patrol gets a chance to do it once. The objective of this is to launch a marshmellow as far as you can across a field using only the materials we are given. We have a PVC pipe, a foam board, a plank of bendable wood, a dowel rod (also bendable), a square of nylon type foam, and duct tape. we are supposed to come up with any way to get it across the field using only the materials we were given. The record was 65 feet, that was all the way across the field. and this was achieved by making a Frisbee and taping the marshmellow to the bottom, it was done by Andrew H, Daniel H, Austin N, Drew N, Jack M, and Ben K.
