Two more women in camp today, one is visiting for the day and the other is staying for the rest of the week, so I would like to issue a warm welcome to them. That makes four of us women here today.
I figured out my problem with sending pictures. Not going into detail, but I'll just say it was operator error. So I'll include them here. One was breakfast this morning. I wanted to highlight our new metal silverware, and also the powdered sugar that was sprinkled on top of the french toast. It's the little things in life sometimes!
I've also since taken a picture of two of the new latrines. These are fancy and still smell like new construction. They are complete with a framed door, toilet paper holders inside, and shelves. The outside, as you can see are very snazzy (I'm sure that word isn't what they were going for!) Makes my nice one look not quite as nice!
I've gotten a couple emails from people saying they are reading and liking my blog. So it is nice to get that feedback and it re-inspires me. It really is a nice camp, but I think it's the type of thing you have to experience to understand.
This morning I watched the fishing and sailing MBs at the beach. Then a dad who is visiting with his boat offered the camp director a chance to go water skiing so I was lookout. It was fun for me to be out on a lake.
It is getting quite warm this afternoon. Still good though.
After lunch of hotdogs, brats, chili (for chili dogs), mac n cheese, carrots, broccoli, celery, I mixed up some brownies. Since I like HOT brownies, I convinced the cooks that we keep the batter in the fridge until closer to supper and serve them hot. I'll be down at the beach then, but they agreed to do it for me.
